Apple Day stall opportunities

Just passing on info about stall opportunities at this year's Apple Day. Apple Day is a really big day in the local calendar as you probably know, and there are a few stalls left if anyone would like to exhibit there. It?s a really popular day, so a lot of opportunity for good promotion/display (Vestry House).

There are two Apple Days this year in Waltham Forest and the Hornbeam Cafe and Environmental Centre (near Bakers Arms) are organising them both - one at Vestry House Museum in Walthamstow Village on Sat 10 Oct, the other at the amazing venue of Pimp Hall Nature Reserve Learning lodge in Chingford, now also managed by The Hornbeam on Sun 11 Oct. This is set around a lodge in the forest in Chingford and an opportunity to spread out beyond the typical E17 customer base (see link below).

Get in touch if you want to have a stall at either day (food, drink, crafts, storytelling, community groups).

E17 Annual flyers for collection

PLEASE collect some flyers over the next few weeks.

The costs of the regular market to produce are very high (hall hire, print flyers, bands, drinks, cups, helpers...........) so in order to keep the table fee at a reasonable cost I divide it between the average numebr of stall holders (currently £35 at the Asian Centre) BUT we do need to use all our strengths to promote it. The main strength is you, the designers!  From all the promotion and networking I do alongside, we get other opportunities that are not available to other people: Walthamstow Garden Party, William Morris Gallery, The Mall shop etc etc. Some of the income from those events then funds major purchases: large banners, tables

So if you want people to come and see your work and hopefully buy it, have a bunch of flyers on you at all times, especially if you are doing events elsewhere, with interested customers wanting to know what you are doing next.  This way is cheaper than all the advertising and legwork you would have to do if you were on your own.

I have been busy flyering at the Stow Festival this weekend (181920 Sept)and also have delivered flyers along Orford Road ready for the Village Festival(19)

E17 Designers' Christmas Shop at The Mall, Selborne Walk, Wlathamstow

SO the fun begins!

All spaces will be selected and allocated according to the shop space. We hope to have shelving options.  We need to confirm rai/mannequin space.

Space hire cost is to be confirmed after expenses have been finalised (rates etc…)

We hope to have a set price per member per week, provisionally a minimum of £50 per week, with 20% commission deducted from all sales. We hope to open for 5-6 weeks. We will probably have to open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 6pm most days, Sunday 11-5pm. We will manage the shop and coordinate get-in, decoration, publicity, open night event and break down. We hope to have within the space hire income an amount to cover the cost of employing a full time retail person in the shop at all times, who will manage all daily sales: all designers who want to volunteer to work in the shop will be asked to join in a rota, so that we have one manager, and one/two sales assistants (designers) in the shop for most of the time. You will need to be available to set up on one day in the first week (Probably a Monday or Tuesday). Unconfirmed date week beginning 16th November.

Family fun day and beer festival: halloween theme with art activities in Inky Cuttlefish, pop-up pub, BBQ, craft stalls and fancy dress competition with prizes!
Saturday 31st October
12-10pm

Stalls can set up from 10am, sell from 12-5pm approximately. There will be lots of families there and it will be similar to the opening day in May with hundred's of people attending!  I would advise you sell low cost/family/pre xmas stuff.
Ideally you will have your own table. Please let us know if you can bring your own. You will be responsible for your own insurance. A £10 donation to Gnome House CIC on the day would be much appreciated.

The A5 annual flyers are ideal for friends to hand out, leave at the office staff room and pop on their fridges etc. I try and go out and about on my bike as far as I can, but the more promotion each of us do for the group the more customers we will have…if you are not doing the event you can still help to promote the events for the group in the same way. It would be great if you could let me know which area you are covering with the flyers, when you collect.

William Morris Galllery Christmas Shopping Late: designers will be selected on suitability for the Gallery, as they have their own shop selling as well.

We will be on the first floor and the upper floor (three rooms)

Prices: £60 premium = Two tables on the first floor (at the top of the main staircase)

£45 standard = 4 wall and counter top spaces of approx 120cm in Daisy

£45 standard = remaining tables of approx 125 x 60cm in the three rooms overlooking the park or front gardens: Daisy, Honeysuckle and Acanthus

Please specify in the comments or special requirements section if you wish to be considered for the premium space ON THE FIRST FOOR, OR wall and counter space OR a table of approx 125cm

E17 Designers are excited to tale part in the annual William Morris Gallery Christmas shopping late. There will be music, entertainment, festive nibbles and mulled wine, plus a children's trail with prizes. The Gallery shop will also be open with new ranges for Christmas. E17 Designers will be on all floors so you can explore the Gallery for a unique shopping experience.

There will be a £2 donation, which will go towards the Gallery’s free family programming.

Tuesday 8 December Vestry?s Victorian Christmas:a few stalls available

Vestry?s Victorian Christmas 4.30-10pm (coinciding with The Village Residents Carols 7-8.30pm)
This popular festive event returns for both children and adults. Visit a traditional Father Christmas in a magical grotto, make Christmas crafts, stir the pudding, enjoy mulled wine and mince pies. Later shop for gifts by local designers accompanied by Christmas songs and readings. Father Christmas tickets ?3.50 per child.
 
There would be space for  at least 4 craft tables in the Main museum/Picture Gallery/Costume Gallery for designers to sell Xmas gifts ? Entertainment/refreshments and activities will be in Community room-
 
-          Traffic 4.30 -7ish will be families and 8ish -10pm will be adults ? the museum will remain staffed throughout although will be quiet 7-8.30.
