Walthamstow Garden Party

Posted by E17 Designers

Reminder: The 'Walthamstow Garden Party' which according to the organisers will "fill the park with music, art, theatre and food inspired by, and celebrating the best of, the borough".  They will  "pull together and showcase some of the best aspects of the area (and)highlighting the thriving cultural activity that exists locally".

E17 Designers have been allocated stalls on the two days. We have a marquee and 20 trestle tables of approximately 6ft/2m.  The marquee will hopefully be situated alongside William Morris Gallery, who will also close at 5pm.

Day/date:

Saturday 26th July
Sunday 27th July

Timings:
12-5

Get in and break down times:
Tbc, approximately 1-2 hours before and 1 hour after

Fee:
£50 per space, per day.

(NB I have public liability for events, so until now there has been no request for individuals to have this, I will let you know if it is a requirement. It is not included in the fee.)

To request a space go to Your Events and use the form 'Walthamstow Garden Party' and select which day you want to apply for. (If you apply for both days, please note first or second choice as it is unlikely we can offer both days…..)

Deadline to apply: Friday 30th May. We will confirm stalls as soon as possible after that date, due to the likely high demand. Payment will not be required until tables are confirmed so DO NOT PAY in advance, in case we fill up and cannot fit you in! (This is Create's deadline)

Booking open, please apply by 30th May: see earlier email sent this morning. If you have trouble reserving a space please email me. E17 Art Trail

Posted by E17 Designers

If you have booked for our Art Trail event then see you then (details being sent via general email)

General news about the E17 Art Trail which  many of you will be taking part in all over E17!!

Dear Art Trail Exhibitors,

Please share this with everyone involved in your event!

Important information about the:
Launch party,
Volunteers
and Publicity...

Great job everyone for collecting publicity materials and posters - please make sure you get all the posters up and guides where people can take them. They are going like hot cakes even in outer most venues beyond Walthamstow.

We still would like more volunteers - please let people know. They can sign up to be part of the Art Trail Team here or email volunteer@artillery.org.uk

Artists Reception Friday 30th 6-9pm
Just a few things as the exciting launch of the Trail is coming up fast ......
The Artists' reception is your party and is next week Friday 30th May in the Vestry House Museum from 6-9pm.
We are looking forward to getting a chance for everyone to come together before the start of the Art Trail, to relax and wind down after all your hardwork. The opening reception is always very popular and a wonderful opportunity to take a breath before the fun begins.

- Can you help?
We would like to ask for a little help in the setting up, running the bar and helping in the kitchen and clear up of the reception. If people could volunteer 20-30 minutes it would be really helpful and much appreciated. If you follow this link you can add your name to a preferred timeslot
http://doodle.com/3ffybf2df67fzxui

- Give a Toss for Art!
As part of fundraising for the Art Trail next year we would like to ask artists if they would like to donate a piece of art, a piece of their merchandise or perhaps a bottle of some nice beverage or food stuff that is reflective of their practice. As well as being in with the chance of taking home a lovely gift artists can promote their event in the Art trail by adding a business card or guide listing number. With a ticket and a turn of the Tombola- Hey Presto! (Please drop these off in advance to The Mill if possible).

- Party Hats!
Rather than simply decorating the Vestry House, we would like to also decorate artists. So we are looking for any creative souls out there who would be interested in running a little event during the reception whereby people could create and adorn our wonderful participants and supporters, whether mad hats, mysterious masks or floral fancies. We are open to suggestions so please do get in touch. It should make for a fantastic group photograph.

Most importantly the Artists Reception is for everyone to come together and rejoice in the wonderful collective of creatives in this borough. See you there!

Publicity
Lastly, you can collect posters and trail guides from The Mill, 7-22 Coppermill Lane and Penny Fielding Gallery & Interiors, 34 Orford Road anytime these venues are open.

Please drop off your own publicity, postcards, flyers etc to The Mill if you'd like us to pop these on the a-boards for each of the 8 information spots.

Stoneydown Park Folk Festival

Posted by E17 Designers

Dear E17 Designers,

Friends of Stoneydown Park are hosting their annual Folk Festival in the park, along with Walthamstow Folk, on Sunday 29th June, from 2 - 6 p.m. Along with live music, we have the Rose and Crown beer tent, food, cakes, a bouncy castle and coconut shy. We are now looking for some stalls and thought you might be interested.

The whole event is outdoors, and all stallholders will need their own table and chair (and something to protect your stall if there's a shower). It's £10 for a space, with the money going to F.O.S.P.s  voluntary work improving the park. We will have lots of flyers to publicise the event, and have had an excellent turnout in previous years.

If you'd like a stall at this event, please email me on : lindahughes1@gmail.com

Thanks,
Linda.
