E17 Art Trail 10-12 artists from Waltham Forest Arts Club

Posted by E17 Designers

An exhibition at Pictorem Gallery
383 Hoe Street
Walthamstow
London E17 9AP

10-12 artists from Waltham Forest Arts Club
Illustration, photography, painting, printmaking, sculpture
May 30 - June 21

Arts Club is having an exhibition on one long wall at Pictorem Gallery for the E17 Art Trail.
The exhibition will also go on for one week after the trail.  Katja Rosenberg and Julie Caves are organising it.

There are still a few places in the show.  There is a size limit to the work and because we want it to look unified we'd like everyone to have them all framed in the same moulding. There is also a cost to each artist to share the other expenses.  Please read the guidelines and if you are interested in showing in the exhibition please contact us.

Please send me an image of the work you would like to show asap so I know that you are interested as this will be first come first served.

Cultivate, Waltham Forest’s first urban food growing festival, has lined up over 50 events, including a conference, food-a-fair and gardener’s question time as part of its Cultivate Waltham Forest food growing festival this Spring.
The event aims to mark Waltham Forest as the garden of London harnessing the knowledge, skills and enthusiasm of amateur and professional food and related growers.   Confirmed highlights include:
    •    Grow Waltham Forest: a conference shaping the future of food growing in the Borough led by Capital Growth
    •    The Big Dig: A borough-wide day preparing to grow food together
    •    Gardeners’ Q&A: Expert green-fingered tips, ideas and solutions to help own food cultivation
    •    Food-a-Fair: A day out celebrating food growing and making from plot to plate
    •    Farmers’ Market Day: Keeping it fresh and green in Waltham Forest
    •    Fringe Festival: Promoting food growing initiatives such as a Seed Swap,  workshops including one on Finding Space To Grow, drop in centres and tours across the whole community
    •    Get Growing In Your School: How to start and run your own school garden

“There is an exciting week planned and we want to make the most of all the opportunities there are in the borough to grow food and encourage local people to get involved,” explained Councillor Clyde Loakes, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Environment for Waltham Forest Council.

Flyers for 2014

Posted by E17 Designers

Flyers for 2014 are available now, you can pick them up from the Social on Wednesday 26th March at The Bell Pub, Bell Corner, Forest Road, E17 from 7.30
Alternatively email to arrange collection of flyers from me at 105 farnan Avenue, E17 4NH.

Here is a reminder of what you can do to help:

- collect a few posters and flyers included in the table cost
- display on your front windows and distribute them amongst friends/contacts
- an email flyer can also be sent out to e-contacts /used on social media

It is very important that participants distribute flyers and posters in their areas, to keep the costs of distribution down, which in turn keeps the table cost down, and brings new customers to events to shop!
