Emma Voller Ceramics
Emma's ceramics are crafted with function and design in mind.
Most of her designs start life inspired by prints and patterns from interiors, print design and nature. She then experiments with these on different clay forms to find the right relationships between patterns and the clay body.
The planters and pots are thrown on the wheel and then turned to refine the shape and detailing. Whilst the plates and dishes are formed using plaster moulds that allow her to produce varying shapes and sizes. The majority of work is created in a stoneware clay which is fired to high temperature creating a non-porous durable finish.
